Who does not love Ragu?...My kids love it and it makes for a great beginning sauce to build on or to eat out of the jar warmed up on some pasta...YUM! Those little jars do add up. So why not buy ragu when you have a coupon and save some money to buy the spaghetti too.
My favorite quick, affordable and easy spaghetti recipe. Depending on the cost of the hamburger that week and how many coupons we use. I can make this up to serve a family of 6 for $7.00.
Cream Cheese Ragu Spaghetti
1 lb of hamburger
1 onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped or mushrooms depending on what your family likes
1 Jar Ragu Sauce
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 12oz package of spaghetti
Brown the hamburger with chopped vegetables. Drain off any fat and return meat and veggies to the pan then combine the ragu sauce and cream cheese. In another pot, boil the spaghetti, drain and then serve it stirred with the cheesy sauce.
