Organic play dough ingredients:
3 cups of organic flour
3 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of sea salt
6 Tbsp of organic olive oil
6 Tsp. Cream of Tarter
*optional: Food Color (India Tree Natural Decorating Colors)
Combine all the ingredients into a medium size sauce pan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly with wooden spoon. Stir until your play dough looks like ours in the photo above. The organic play dough should form a stiff (not hard) ball. Similar consistency to store bought play dough. Cool completely before allowing children to use the organic play dough. We colored ours and also added drink mixes so they would smell good (adds extra color too) when played with completely optional.
Store in a zip lock bag or container that seals. The organic play dough lasts a long time when stored this way.
NOTE- I like to use India Tree Natural Decorating Colors, it is a natural vegetable colorant. They contain no corn syrup or synthetic dyes. FYI-ingredients list from Blue- Deionized water, glycerin, red cabbage. Red- Beet Juice, citric acid and Yellow-Deionized water, glycerin and curcumin.
